Lightbulb Idea for a Ranger build(not tested)

I sorta just thought of this build and it sounded pretty good to me. The idea is trapper with spirits for PvP (I had AB in mind while thinking of this). You summon spirits, move forward just a bit and plant some traps, then move behind your spirits and traps, and shoot at the enemy from there (do this in tight area just as you would as a regular trapper). When the enemy comes rushing at you and your spirits they trigger the traps and get hit with a good amount of damage.

Skills
-Trappers Focus{Elite} or Spike Trap {Elite}
-Barbed Trap
-Flame Trap
-Snare
-Brambles
-Dust Trap
-Pain
-Troll Unguent

Again, I have not tested this, and I don't know what the attribute points should be. Please tell me if this is a good idea, and if not help me fix to make it a good one.

Protecting spirits with traps isn't new, and why is brambles your only spirit?

And Pain.

However; the spirits you are using are basicly just not worth the other team killing. It would be pretty simple just to ignore you and carry on doing something else. The traps are decent, but in order to use them effectively you really need something to stop them getting interrupted. Distortion is far better than Trappers Focus for this purpose, and allows you to take Spike Trap aswell.

Drop Pain for Distortion, drop Brambles for Apply Poison. Now you have a far better trapper build.

Also, if you want to spam actually useful spirits (like NR/Tranq), Oath Shot is the way to go. Even with traps around your spirits you don't want to be dealing with a 60s recharge after the enemy takes them down.

Thanks for your input, like I said this was just an idea that I came up with. I'm also pretty new to the whole concept of creating builds.

BTW, I really like this forum, every thread that I have looked at isn't someone flaming someone else, I think I just might stick around.
